PTL FOR INDUSTRIAL SECTORS
PTL technology
PTL (Put To light or Pick To light) technology is a technology where the interaction with the user is basically done with lights and a screen with minimal information. At Tech id we work with a diversity of hardware (standard PTL or ESL), in order to minimize implementation and maintenance costs.
In the picking task we can handle a bin or group of bins or items, lighting each one in the appropriate way and also having multiple operators. In this way it is achieved:
Visual guide for operators
Correct lighting provides clear visual guidance to operators during the picking process. Operators can quickly identify the position of items and pick them up according to the indications provided by the information displayed.
Picking Confirmation
After taking the item, the operator can confirm by pressing a button or by pressing the electronic tag. This will signal to the system that the item has been successfully collected and will allow moving to the next item in the collection list.
In this case it is the other way around, the operator delivers the goods in . This technology is mainly used in e-commerce processes or ventilation processes, sorting, etc. Conceptually the idea is the same, to guide the operator by means of lights and appropriate information:
Visual guide for operators
Operators can easily identify the correct position to place items according to the indications provided by the illuminated labels.
Picking Confirmation
After correctly positioning the item, the operator can confirm the position by pressing a button or touching the electronic tag. This will inform the system that the item has been placed correctly and will allow moving to the next item in the positioning list.
PTL technology is usually complemented by other technologies, such as voice systems.
