Bar code printers
Barcode label printers are designed to print labels that attach to products or assets and allow for intelligent management, identification and traceability of these items.
Depending on use
…to be given to the printer and the environment in which it will be used, printers can be grouped into 3 categories: industrial printers, desktop printers and portable printers.
Printing Technologies
Thermal Transfer
Thermal Transfer technology uses an ink ribbon called Ribbon, which is heated and this allows for easier printing on different surfaces (plastic labels, fabric, polypropylene, etc.), creating a much more durable print.
Direct Thermal Transfer
Direct thermal printing applies heat directly from the printhead to the label. The code is generated by a chemical reaction that occurs on contact with heat. Prints are more sensitive to light and heat, which considerably reduces the life of the label or printed material.

Industrial Printers
Industrial printers are designed for harsh and demanding environments. They can print bar code labels as well as RFID. This equipment is very durable and normally has to work 24 hours a day.
Desktop Printers
Desktop printers have a compact design and are designed for ease of use, are easy to use and offer excellent durability for low to medium volume printing of both bar code labels and bar code labels., RFID, as well as bracelets for use in leisure applications or even in hospital environments.
Portable Printers
Portable printers increase productivity and reduce errors by enabling portable printing of barcode labels, receipts and RFID identifiers at the point of application. The range is very wide depending on the industry and printing needs. A complete mobile printing solution will also require a number of accessories, such as a bag or pouch, along with the printer.
